New Executive Head Chef is joining the Alderley Edge Hotel Team


John Scott, General Manager, Alderley Edge Hotel, said: “Following the opening of our brand new bar and restaurant twelve months ago, we’re sorry to say goodbye to Sean Sutton after fourteen years at the Alderley Edge Hotel where he started as (an even younger looking) commis chef. We’re delighted, however, to welcome Colin Starkey as Head Chef to the team. Colin has been based in the Northwest since his training at Southport College (and his first job at Northcote Manor in the Ribble Valley). He and I have worked together for many years and I’m excited that he’s joining the Alderley Edge Hotel. Colin has a natural understanding of local ingredients and will continue to deliver the exceptional produce driven menus of modern British cuisine that helped us achieve the recognition as Cheshire Life Restaurant of the Year 2018.”
