A very successful Taittinger Champagne Themed Evening……
On the 26th September we held our second Taittinger Champagne Themed Dinner in the Hotel Restaurant. Over 80 guests enjoyed a glass of Taittinger Champagne upon arrival and canapes, followed by a 5 course meal which was specially prepared by our Executive Chef Colin Starkey alongside a paired wine flight.
Frances Bentley our Wine Buyer hosted the wine flight between each course and gave an in-depth talk about each Wine or Champagne served and why Frances paired the Wine or Champagne with each course.
Menu on the evening – Cured Pollock, Courgette & Fennel, Saffron Aioli, to start, Crispy Oxtail, Caramelized Onion Puree, Chive Oil, intermediate course, Seared Guinea Fowl, Carrot & Puy Lentil, Crisp Gingerbread, main course, and Choux Bun, Lemon Curd, Raspberries, dessert, followed by Coffee and Lemon Meringue Fudge.
