Restaurant of the Year

The hotel's 'Alderley Restaurant' has "top notch cuisine" – according to AA judges who awarded it three rosettes and rated it alongside famous London restaurants like Marco Pierre White's 'L'Escargot', Michele Roux's 'Le Gavroche', and ‘Gordon Ramsay at Claridges'.

It is also a winner of Cheshire Life's coveted Restaurant of the Year award.

The reputation that Head Chef - Chris Holland's team has earned - for ongoing innovation and the consistent excellence of outstanding ingredients - goes from strength to strength. Lifetime award for Ahmet Kurçer

Ahmet Kurçer, General Manager of the Alderley Edge Hotel, received a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from county magazine ‘Cheshire Life’ in recognition of his professional values during a career in Manchester and Cheshire’s hotel and restaurant industry.

Ahmet Kurçer moved from Manchester city centre to the smaller but renowned Alderley Edge Hotel more than 20 years ago. Since then his customer service standards, gourmet food and promotion of fresh local produce has, said the award judges, put Alderley Edge Hotel even more firmly on the map of northern cuisine. Ahmet was honoured, he said, “to receive an award for something that I love doing, working with world class staff in an industry that I’m passionate about and in which there is always an opportunity to learn and improve."
